Role Overview

As an IT Systems Administrator and Support Specialist at KIT-AR, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless digital operations, and providing exceptional user support to align with our mission of transforming manufacturing through technological excellence.

This is a hybrid-position based in Lisbon, Portugal, with 2 to 3 days a week at the office. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 environments to ensure peak performance.
  • Implement and maintain IT security measures and corporate networks, including Zero Trust and Remote Access architectures.
  • Drive IT management efforts, including planning, monitoring of routine tasks, and spearheading IT projects.
  • Provide timely IT support, proactively identify solutions to minimize support issues, and enhance user experience.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system improvements, using PowerShell and shell/bash scripting.
  • Propose and lead improvement initiatives, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy and technological proficiency.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT management and support within small to medium-sized IT-focused organizations.
  • Expert knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Exchange 365, Office 365, Windows 10+ clients, Intune MDM, and network protocols.
  • Proficiency in automating Windows image deployment and creating scripts/packages for IT operations.
  • Systematic, disciplined, and collaborative approach to IT operations, including both project, support and operations activities.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with WSL, Docker, and virtualization environments.
  • Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, Windows Defender, Cloudflare WARP.
  • Practical knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud environments in infrastructure, networking, and desktop areas.
  • Entry-level certification on IT Service Management, ISO 2000, ISO 27001 or equivalent standards.
